Overview

During my time as a freelancer at Bionic, I worked on a client project called Nimbly, an app that helps manage student debt finances. I first helped with marketing materials prepping for market launch. Once the app launched in July 2020, I then transitioned into helping on the product side.

Sketch Library

The largest project I did for Nimbly was create a Sketch Library, naming system, and new file structure.

After Nimbly launched into the app store, my role expanded from designing marketing materials to product design. The team had been using Sketch with Sketch Cloud as a handoff tool. The file was a mess - unorganized, unnamed, and one massive file. Because of this, it took extra time to search for screens and put together mock-ups, and the developers wouldn’t go near it. Along with this, there was an initial style guide for the brand, but no UI style guide.

Knowing that Nimbly would be scaling and bringing in more designers in the future, I decided to streamline the ui and create a sketch library.
